About The Event
Come join us on Saturday morning, May 2, 2026, for an in‑depth look at urban design and place‑making through the case study of Baldwin Park.
This is a rare opportunity to learn directly from the experts who helped guide Baldwin Park’s transformation from the former Orlando Naval Training Center into the vibrant community it is today—complete with beautiful neighborhoods, parks, recreation spaces, and a lively downtown.
We’ll begin with a presentation and discussion on Baldwin Park’s history, planning principles, and design development before heading out on a guided walking tour. After the tour, participants are welcome to gather for a self‑pay lunch at a local restaurant to share thoughts and takeaways.
The presentation begins at 8:30 AM, so please arrive a little early. Bagels and Orange Juice social hosted by Rick Geller!
Bring comfortable walking shoes, a bottle of water, and get ready to discover Baldwin Park’s hidden pocket parks…
