
2+2+2 Scholarship Application
List of Available 2+2+2 Student Scholarships for Fall 2026:
For the University of Florida CityLab-Orlando Master of Architecture students
$ 5,000 to a UF CityLab student pursuing a Master of Architecture degree

The applicant must have completed a minimum of 18 credits, including two advanced graduate design studios, before the Fall semester.

The applicant will be entering their final year in the Fall semester.
For the University of Central Florida or the University of Florida Bachelor of Design in Architecture students
$ 4,000 to a UCF or UF student who has accepted an offer of admission to the UF CityLab-Orlando Advanced Master of Architecture degree program for the Fall semester.
For University of Central Florida Bachelor of Design in Architecture students
$ 3,000 to a UCF student pursuing a Bachelor of Design in Architecture,

The applicant must have completed a minimum of 24 credits, including Design Five and Design Six studios, before the Fall semester.

The applicant will be entering their final year in the Fall semester.
For Valencia College Associate in Arts (Architecture) degree program students
$ 2,000 to a Valencia College student who has accepted an offer of admission to the UCF Bachelor of Design in Architecture program for the Fall semester
$ 1,000 to a Valencia College student pursuing an Associate in Arts (Architecture)

The applicant must have completed a minimum of 24 credits, including Design 1 and Design 2 studios, before the Fall semester.

The applicant will be entering Design 3 in the Fall semester.
Eligibility

Must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States.

Candidates must be accepted and/or enrolled in of the following programs at the time of the application submission:

the Valencia College Associate in Arts (Architecture) degree program
-
the University of Central Florida or the University of Florida Bachelor of Design in Architecture degree program
-
the University of Florida CityLab-Orlando Master of Architecture degree program.

Must commit to enrollment as a full-time student the semester of the scholarship award.

Full time at Valencia College is 12 cr. fall, spring, summer

Full time at UCF is 12 cr. fall, spring, summer

Full time at UF CityLab is nine cr. Fall, spring, six cr. summer

Must have a minimum 3.40 GPA at the time of application.
Application Requirements
A complete application consists of the following requirements:

Cover letter: limited to one (1) page, minimum 10 pt. font

Resume: limited to one (1) page, minimum 10 pt. font

Recommendation Letter/References: Provide a minimum of one (1) letter of recommendation and two (2) additional references. One of the references must be from a professor in your program or professionals in the industry. All references thereafter can be from professionals in the industry (employer/professor/mentor, etc.).

Portfolio: four (4) pages of images of selected student work. A minimum of three (3) pages must be architectural design projects.

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or permanent U.S. Residency

Transcript with GPA, min. 3.40
All document pages shall be the U.S. Standard Letter Size (8.5" x11"); portrait or landscape orientation is acceptable. Submit all items as one combined PDF file; the maximum size is 20 MB

Applicants are encouraged to submit at least one week before the deadline. Late and incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Selection Process
The Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee comprised at a minimum of two Orlando Foundation for Architecture (OFA) Trustees, one AIA Orlando Board member, and one OFA Scholarship committee member.
The committee members shall meet and rank the applicants based on their individual review of the applicant’s submitted materials based on the following scoring rubric:

Complete submission that meets requirements, follows order of checklist, and well-organized. Since graphic communication is a major aspect of the architecture profession, extra consideration is given for graphic cohesion and "branding" of the student and work as well as brief statement/overview of each project presented.

Overall articulation of interest in architecture, sources of inspiration, and statement of need; summarize qualifications requested in the application and on resume.

Limited to current activities or within the past year from application date.

AIA, AIAS, OFA, NOMA, BAM, etc. Extra consideration is given to membership and/or participation in OFA activities, events, and/or committees.

Two (2) references are required for all program levels except CityLab. At least one reference must be a current professor; extra consideration is given for references by current professors and professionals in the AEC+D industry. CityLab students (both levels) must submit two (2) Letters of Recommendation; a minimum of one (1) must be from a current professor; extra consideration is given for the second recommendation to be provided by a practitioner in the AEC+D industry.

Scholarship Awards

Applicants must provide their student ID, the correct mailing address of their institution, and the department where their scholarship check is to be used.

Award amounts will be distributed as a single disbursement after all requirements are met.
Scholarship recipients will be announced at the annual OFA Awards Ceremony on:
Ceremony Date: Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
