Vote for Orlando Buildings in AIA Florida Peoples Choice Awards

AIA Florida has released the 2016 Peoples Choice competition. AIA Orlando has 3 buildings in the competition this year, Morimoto Asia, Daytona International Speedway, and Cameo Theater. Be sure to get your votes in! Here is the link to vote:

The list of buildings in our area can use our support to move up the list. To vote you will need to like them by clicking the Facebook LIKE button beside the photos. This is different than last year. You will need to be signed into Facebook as well, for your votes to be accepted. Read more about our local entries below:

Cameo Theater by Process Architecture, on Colonial Drive near Mills (I was the first to vote for it) This is a great renovation of a classic Art Deco Building, now a SNAP Photography Gallery

The Morimoto Asia Restaurant at Disney Springs by Lingerfelt International, which received an AIA Orlando Design Award, (this is in the former Manikin’s Dance Palace)

The Daytona Speedway improvements which have changed the face of the Entry and stands.

Innovation, Science and Technology Building at Florida Polytechnic is also nearby, but in the Tampa chapter’s service area. (It is the only one nearby in the top ten)

Please use the link at the beginning of this article, or the link below to vote, so our buildings have a chance at the TOP 10! And please spread the word, so more people know about the architecture in Central Florida.
