Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando brings pediatric specialty care never before offered in Central Florida. Their hospital includes the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids.
Many of their board-certified specialists have come from top hospitals around the country because they share Nemours’ desire to create a pediatric health care facility that empowers patients and their caregivers.
Their new facility in the Lake Nona Medical City was distinguished this year at the local American Institute of Architects awards celebration with a 2013 AWARD OF HONOR. Perkins + Wills were the architects.
The independent Jury said: “This is beautifully done; all the details are well done. I love the total use of light. The interiors were exceptionally different and very appropriate for a children’s hospital. Very carefully detailed project.”
