All those interested in the further development of the repurposing of the Round Building concrete panels please join the Nils M. Schweizer Fellows @ Commissioner Patti Sheehan’s office [second floor of Orlando City Hall Building] on 04 June 2013. The meeting starts @ 5:30 pm & will last about 1.5 hours[ +/-].
This building is scheduled for demolition as part of Orlando’s new performing arts center. The NMS Fellows hope to persuade city leaders to save the precast concrete curtain wall from the wrecking ball so that private funds can be raised and these pieces re-displayed somewhere in Central Florida as a remembrance to the buildings unique modern design in Orlando’s history.
