    Sponsored by the Florida Foundation for Architecture, this year’s Peoples’ Choice Award contest has 58 buildings from which to chose. Here is a list of the buildings in our area of Florida: There are 2 buildings submitted by the Brevard County Space Coast Chapter of the AIA. Space Shuttle Atlantis Exhibit, Kennedy Space Center Complex, and the Exploration Tower at Port Canaveral.     Valencia Students Help Medieval Restoration

    Students at Valencia Community College in French studies are working to raise funds on a crowd funding site to support learning abroad. Listen to their story below: While strengthening their knowledge of the art and architecture of France and history of the Middle Ages, their learners will deepen their understanding of another culture.     VCC/UCF Joint Use Building 11

    Another of 2011’s award winning designs is the Valencia Community College VCC/UCF Joint Use Building 11, Orlando, Florida, one of the images featured on our blog cover photo. This building houses more of UCF’s ever expanding 4 year degree programs on community college campuses. It received the AWARD OF MERIT, designed by C.T. Hsu + Associates, P.A. of Orlando, Florida.
