2011 VCC-UCF Joint Use Building 11

Another of 2011’s award winning designs is the Valencia Community College VCC/UCF Joint Use Building 11, Orlando, Florida, one of the images featured on our blog cover photo. This building houses more of UCF’s ever expanding 4 year degree programs on community college campuses. It received the AWARD OF MERIT, designed by C.T. Hsu + Associates, P.A. of Orlando, Florida. The building has a central lobby, to foster student interaction, prominently features energy saving solar window shading and has many other green features.

The independent Jury said: “Readability and clarity of the plan, very well organized. Very competent and well controlled design project.”
