Located in the upscale community of Isleworth, The Grove is a shopping center expansion which focuses on a current trend in retail design, incorporating a significant amount of open green and community space. Designed with activities like farmers market, outdoor theater, music and art events in mind, the communal space creates a destination for the community, while enabling retail tenants and shoppers to engage in more of a social forum.

Cuhaci and Peterson were the architects for the Grove, This is the second of two phases they designed for the development. The first phase construction included, among other tenants, the Publix and LA Fitness.

In this phase they shaped the two buildings facing the open green with curved facades embracing the public realm, and located restaurants flanking each side of the entrance. With the divided entry drive off Conroy Road, this entrance provides an engaging sequence of spaces to traverse, with LA Fitness in view beyond. They have shared these photos of Building  6 and 7 with a computer video fly-thru of the project at this Vimeo link: https://vimeo.com/99687178
