Another of 2011s award winning designs is the University Of Central Florida, College Of Medicine (Lake Nona) Orlando, Florida, one of the images featured on our blog cover photo. This is the centerpiece of the UCF Lake Nona campus. The lawn in front is planned to have future buildings fanking the Medical School. It received the AWARD OF MERIT, designed by HuntonBrady Architects of Orlando, Florida. The project is the second UCF building on the campus, a university research building is next door.
The independent Jury said: “Nice organization of the plan. The classic quality of the building is offset by the planar elements to create a comfortable whole. Materials and fenestration work well together.”
