    Osceola School District Announces Employee Health Center

    SchenkelShultz is the architect for a new Osceola County school district Employee Health Center, to be run by Florida Hospital System, and constructed by Wharton-Smith. Patients will have access to pediatrics, women’s health, geriatrics, preventive services, urgent care, occupational medicine and physical therapy, among others.     Contemporary Look for Nemours Ronald McDonald House

    Since the Nemours Hospital in Lake Nona is more like a giant colorful child’s play toy than a hospital, it seems only fitting that the new Ronald McDonald house depart from the large Victorian farmhouse look as well. Currently under construction in Orlando, this one is three stories of sharp angles, colored-glass panels and suites for families instead of one-bedroom accommodations, both a residential kitchen for guests and a commercial kitchen for volunteers and support group

    SchenkelShultz Plans Airport Expansion

    SchenkelShultz Architecture announced it completed the master plan for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority’s planned expansion. Above is their design for the Intermodal Hub.     The 6th Annual NAIOP Case Study Competition was an intercollegiate competition between undergraduate student teams from the University of Central Florida (UCF). Each team was asked to evaluate a prime site in Central Florida and devise a development plan based on the current market environment. All 4 teams presented excellent entries.     Another of last year’s award winning designs is the Joe R. Lee Boys & Girls Club, Eatonville, Florida, one of the images featured on our blog cover photo. Helping to rebuild the once vibrant Eatonville downtown area, it has become a hub of activity helping the youth of Eatonville.
